Last Sunday’s contest between Eastern Region Giants, Pope John Senior High (Pojoss) and peaking Girls school, Methodist Girls Senior High (Meghis) at The Sharks Academic competition turned out to be a mismatch.

Right from the first round, it was Pojoss who made their intentions clear, edging out Meghis by 30 points to 25 points.

The story was mostly  the same for Rounds 2, 3 and 4. Pojoss had found their rhythm and the fatal combination of Joel (for Science) and  Dennis(for Arts) proved too much for the ladies, who at some point in the contest you will think had lost hope. 160 to 35 points it ended.

Pope John Senior High qualifies to the next stage of the competition and would meet the winner of next week’s contest between Adisadel College from CapeCoast and DPS International from Tema.

In the Juniors contest, Ghana Christian International High joined Manna International in the semifinal stage when they defeated DPS International in an exciting contest which went down the wire. It ended 190 to 135 points in Christian High’s favor.
