AB REVIEW SAYS Founded on the 12th October, 1982, Chemu Senior High school is among the few day senior high schools to have gained immense popularity nation-wide. The school’s impressive showing in academics and other extracurricular competitions makes it one of the most sought after in the country. Located in Tema Community 4, the school’s motto Discipline and Hard work embodies the education practices employed at the school. Chemu is one of the few schools to have received an award of excellence by WAEC. In recent times, the school won the best science student award. A feat well deserved considering that the school has a lot of credentials in the science sector. The school has good facilities but renovation of some of the school buildings is imminent. Students reveal that the science laboratory needs rehabilitation and that accommodation problems for teachers need urgent attention. The PTA has been helping with the school’s inadequacies. It is building an eight room flat for teachers but help is needed to complete the project. The old student association can come together and help out. Considering that it’s a day school, it is surprising that outside academics the school has an invigorating social environment. Students take part in entertainment and clubs and societies are active. The school can up its ratings by enhancing their internet presence. In a relatively short time since it was founded, Chemu’s achievements are comparable with the earlier schools.
