AB REVIEW SAYS Saint Marys Seminary is a second cycle institution Located in Lolobi, about 8kms from Hohoe, not so popular in the country but with a rich academic and disciplinary record. Set on a hilly terrain, enveloped by lush vegetation and a constant breeze of fresh air, the school was established on 29 September 1961. The school despite its rich academic records has a deteriorating infrastructure. The old students association could help in this arena. The PTA has been very supportive in the provision of facilities but more has to be done to match up its infrastructure base to its academic credentials. As a primarily seminarian school, the high discipline the school is noted can be attributed to its deep catholic training. STUDENTS SAY “…” Students say participation in clubs and societies is impressive. Students appreciate the serene atmosphere on campus.Discipline and time-consciousness is at its utmost best. Some students however make calls to the teachers to be more dutiful to work. Facilities-wise, one student calls for the equipping of the schools science and computer and also the construction of a school field. An interesting fact that was revealed is what students have on their menu; true to its Volta origins, the school serves banku and okro soup (popularly called Amame). One student write this: If you want to be a Reverend father and have high discipline training, this is your school. The vision of management is clear. Management will at all times and at all cost maintain the Catholic character of inculcating discipline and bringing up its students in the ways of the Lord so that when they grow up they will not depart from them.• The need to train a number of young men offering to enter the Minor Seminary for the Catholic priesthood • The need to train dedicated and God fearing crop of young men who will grow to provide quality service worthy of emulation in whatever capacities as leaders of tomorrow.
