The Technical University Act 2016, (Act 922) converted Kumasi Polytechnic to the present Kumasi Technical University with the aim of providing higher education in engineering, applied arts, science technology based disciplines, technical and vocational training. It is a spectacularly beautiful institution, which is located at the heart of the Garden city of West Africa, the capital city of the Ashanti Region of Ghana (Kumasi). It has within the period of its existence become an important centre for the training not only for Ghana but also for other African countries.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
CHRISTIAN SERVICE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
About: he college began as a merger of two visions in January 1974. A group of Ghanaian Christians had a vision of an interdenominational, evangelical institution of a high academic standard, which would train men and women for all types of Christian Ministry. The second group comprised expatriate missionaries who had a vision of an institution to train workers from the well-established church in southern Ghana for a thrust into northern Ghana and neighboring countries where the church was small. Evangelical Christianity in Ghana in the late 1960s and 1970s was characterized, among other things, by intimate interaction and collaboration and blurring of denominational, mission and group distinctions. The Worldwide Evangelization for Christ (WEC), which was one of the missionary groups in the second group of missionaries, had acquired property in Kumasi on which they had built four dwelling houses and a radio studio with plans to construct a large building to serve as the beginning of a training college. Soon the two visions merged. In October 1974, the first residential classes started with four students and the college went from strength to strength and has now become an evangelical Christian university college.

About: All Nations University College (ANUC) was established by the All Nations Full Gospel Church (ANFGC), Toronto, Canada through the All Nations International Development Agency (ANIDA)..... The Progenitor of the vision, Dr. Samuel Donkor challenged the African diaspora in North America to support the development of Africa by investing in Human Resource Development through quality higher education. The mission was to develop a new breed of leaders for the continent with holistic education that emphasizes academic excellence, Christian values, discipline and ethical values in a Christ centered environment. The government of Ghana readily embraced the idea in 1988, when Dr. Donkor sought permission for the All Nations University. But it was not until 1996 when the master plan was presented to the National Accreditation Board (NAB). Upon the advice of NAB, the University was incorporated in April 1996 and subsequently received the authority to establish the All Nations University in May 1996. After years of preparations, the University opened its doors to 37 pioneering students on November 4, 2002 for the Business and Computer Science undergraduate programs. Today ANUC has 12 accredited programs and over 2500 students

ACCRA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
ACCRA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
About: History Medical education in Ghana started in 1962 with the establishment of the University of Ghana Medical School. To meet the growing demand for doctors by the Ghanaian population, the School of Medical Sciences in KNUST was set up in 1975 to train doctors and other health professionals. This was followed by the establishment of the University for Development Studies (UDS) School of Health Sciences in 2006 to train doctors with a focus on helping to solve the developmental problems in the North of Ghana. In 2009, the University of Cape Coast also set up a medical school with the aim of supplementing the medical education currently provided. Plans are also underway at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, in the Volta Region, to set up a medical school to train doctors for the nation. However, all of these schools currently graduate only about 400 doctors a year that means that many very qualified Ghanaian candidates are turned away. The Accra College of Medicine seeks to begin to plug this hole by admitting 60 of such students each year. Vision:TO BECOME A LEADER IN MEDICAL EDUCATION IN GHANA AND AFRICA.
