About: It started when the late MrSam Boateng, an educationist and a native of Offinso who was working at the Ghana Education Service Headquarters advised Offinsoman to establish a secondary school The idea was welcomed and a planning committee made up of OpKwadwo Kyere (aka OpKwadwo Krah), OpAkwasi Addae, Op Kwabenah Mensah, MrNsiah Akoto, MrMK Boakye (Secretary to the Committee) and latar Archbishop Emeritus Peter Akwasi Sarpong was set up to oversee the establishment of the schoolThe name Dwamena Akenten (The Founder of Offinso State) was proposed for the school by Nana Kwaku Nyantakyi (aka Op Kwaku Nkwantah), the then Nifahene of Offinso Traditional Area. To provide an excellent and holistic secondary education for boys and girls in the community in particular and the country as a whole. To make secondary education more accessible and affordable to the local community, particularly those who could not afford the high cost sending their children and wards outside the community for secondary education
