About: AB REVIEW SAYS Founded on the 22nd January, 1940 by Rev Dr. AWE Appa, Aggrey Memorial Senior High is a living tribute to Dr. Kwegyir Aggrey. The school which has a population of over 2000 students is popular across the country for its commendable strides in academics and sports. Facilities the school has include science block, library, chapel and an assembly hall (which is the biggest in the country with a 2000 seated capacity). Reports show that some of the school’s infrastructure is deteriorating and proper management is called for. Aggrey has a visible old student association. The alumna can however do more improve the school’s facilities. STUDENTS SAY “…” Students enjoy entertainment and other extracurricular activities. There is strong participation in clubs and societies. Some of the clubs include Drama club, Creative writers, Green earth, Cadet Corps, Scripture union among others. One student writes “in general Aggrey students appreciate the mode of teaching and the entertainment activities that go on in school. Discipline-wise, the administration can do more to up the school’s discipline standards. Dining hall food should be improved as some students complained about it. One student voices out that the students should be allowed to attend inter-school games. Provision of more equipment in the school’s laboratory could boost the school’s performance in the sciences. The school was founded by the late Rev. Dr. A.W.E. Appiah on 22nd January, 1940 with six (6) boys. He named the school Aggrey Memorial College after his late uncle, Dr. J. E. Kwegyir Aggrey. The school led a nomadic life for eighteen years, moving from one premises to another (six times) before settling at the present location, Brafoyaw. The school currently has a population of over 2500 and offers all programmes in second cycle institutions except Technical. It is a co-educational institution. To become an excellent institution; providing holistic education through academic, religious moral trainingTo offer adequate secondary education that would be beneficial to students in a way that they would be well-placed to immensely contribute to the development of Mother Ghana

To make Beposo Senior High School an Institution of excellence to provide an expanded second cycle educational facility to the youth of Beposo and its surrounding communities to enable them to further their education and develop their skills.
