About: AB REVIEW SAYS Situated in the heart of Kumasi, Ashanti Region’s Capital, Kumasi Anglican Senior High School popularly referred to as KASS is considered among the top schools in the country. It has of recent posted excellent performances in academic competitions and sports that rival any other top school. The school’s architectural design gives it a unique look, a site to behold. Survey shows the school is relatively endowed in facilities, possessing a separate dining hall and assembly hall, modern library and computer lab. However, support from old students and PTA for more teacher accommodation and solutions to transportation problems will give the school an upgrade. To buttress the good academic position earlier mentioned, in 2007, KASS took the 2nd position in the prestigious NMSQ losing out narrowly to St Augustine’s College. This proves a lot is being done to move the school to higher academic heights STUDENTS SAY “…” Teachers are highly praised for their commitment to work. Students say they are motivated by teachers. Founded in 1955, the school has continually chalked success in academics and sports making them the toast of the Koforidua Township, where the school is situated. Pojoba, the school’s alumni is a relatively strong alumnus but students write that they can do more to support the school in modernizing its facilities. The school can have a face lift by creating a constantly updated website and channeling its good profile to the public through various media outlets. The school has a favorable discipline record that is the benchmark for other schools in the region. Inside information from sister schools: Pojoss boys are handsome, intelligent and neat, but are sometimes haughty. STUDENTS SAY “…” Students adore their uniforms: a yellow shirt and blue trunks that make them noticeable in every gathering.
