APAM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
APAM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
About: AB REVIEW SAYS Apam Senior High School is without doubt one of the top schools in the Zone B district of the Central Region. The school was established in 1953 at Parado’s plains, a suburb of Apam. The school’s academic performance is impressive. Better still is its performance in extracurricular activities and sports. Apam Senior High has a strong business program which is noted as among the best in the country. The school has basic facilities including a dining hall, library, and administration block and science labs. Apam Senior High has turned out influential men and women in the country. This is a result of the good level of discipline which is inculcated into the students. The Old students Association is pretty strong and fairly networked across the country and beyond. The group can assist more in the upgrading of the school’s facilities. Apam Senior High’s presence on the internet is weak. The school could create an active website to profile its impressive achievements and allow access to information by the general public. Popular clubs in the school include Debating Club, Red Cross, Scripture Union among others. There is much room for Apam Senior High School to improve to greater heights and achieve more. Apam Senior High School was founded on 20th February, 1953 by the late J.W. De Graft Johnson. It is now headed by Nana E.C. Acquah, the 6th headmaster. The school offers five academic programmes, namely: General Arts, Business, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts. We also have teaching and non-teaching staff strength of 78 and 56 respectively. The school’s motto is “Obrapa Gya Owura Kwan”. To become a leading educational institution that will produce intelligent, hardworking and morally sound individuals who are of service to mankind. To provide an atmosphere for character training, excellence in academics and sports, all in a bid to produce knowledgeable, useful and all-round citizens imbued with good character and skills that will epitomize the school’s motto
