Abutia Senior High Technical School was established as a community secondary school on 15th January, 1991 under the headship of the late MrEKAmedzro The school was later absorbed into the public system on 2nd October, 1992 through the relentless and tireless effort of the headmaster and support from the well known citizens of the Abutia community to build structures for the school Some of these structures are: a three (3) unit classroom block, three (3) workshop blocks, 1 ten seater KVIPand a borehole These structures were commissioned by the then Regional Minister, LtColonel Charles Agbenaza on 6th October, 1997 The vision of Abutia Senior High Technical School is to increase access to quality education and promote effective teaching and learning in a disciplinary school environment for the achievement of high standard pre-tertiary educational goals To provide relevant education and acquisition of skills to all students of the Abutia Community and beyond to enable them develop their mental, spiritual, socio-cultural and physical potentials so as to excel in their chosen careers to live meaningful lives

SSSCE and WASSCE respectively and had since been scoring above 90% in the WASSCE Exams
The school had 100% in the 2015/2016 WASSCE
The school also came first in girls soccer during the 2012 inter
school sports and games competition
In 2016, the school won inter district debate competition held at
Awudome Senior High School.
