AB REVIEW SAYS Founded by the Ahmadiya Movement, a Muslim organization, T.I Ahmadiya senior high school has consistently proven oven over their years their prowess and competence in academics and sports. Located in Kumasi, Capital of the Ashanti Region, the school is popular over and beyond its environs and is comparable with the very popular schools in all areas. The school’s alumni are supportive of their alma mata but can do more to modernize the school’s facilities. In 2009, the school became the first school to win first in both boys and girls division at the super zonal’s athletics competition. This feat is a tip of the iceberg of the numerous accolades it has won in sports. TI Amass School admits students of all faith and not limited to only Muslims. AB review regards the school a top school by all standards. STUDENTS SAY “…” Students unequivocally agree that teachers are highly committed to work. Teachers concern themselves with the academics and discipline atmosphere in the school. As a result, the school boasts of a creditable discipline record in the country. Cubs and societies are active in the school. Popular clubs include science club, debating club, etc. Students are also encouraged to participate in sports. This gives the school an invigorating social environment. Students love the Waakye at D-hall. More inputs should be put in upgrading the school’s infrastructure. One student calls for more lab equipment. TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School; Kumasi was established by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, in Ghana on 30th January 1950 The school started in two classrooms at the Ahmadiyya Primary school at Asafo Kumasi The first principal (as he was then called) was DRSBAhmadThe school started with seven teachers and twenty five students. It was not until 1953 that the school moved from Asafo to its permanent site near the Kumasi Sports StadiumThe land on which the school is located was donated by Otumfuo, Sir Osei Agyemang Prempeh II, the AsanteheneThe Asantehene laid in the foundation and contributed One Hundred British Pounds (£10000) towards the initial buildings of the school The vision of Kumasi TIAhmadiyya Senior High School is to develop a standard second cycle institution for the promotion of excellent academic and moral standards in a disciplined environment The vision of Kumasi TIAhmadiyya Senior High School is to provide secondary education of high moral standard and discipline to the children and wards of the AhmadiyyaCommunity in particular and the general public
