Akuse Methodist Senior High Technical School (AMEST) was established as a co-educational second cycle institution to offer Secondary and Technical courses to graduates of Junior High Schools in and around Akuse and beyond� It was established in January, 1991 as one of the Senior Secondary Schools which were opened in the country as a result of the implementation of the 1987 Educational Reform Programme� The School took over the structures of the then Methodist Primary School with an initial enrolment of forty Five (45). It steadily grew to 2,498 in the 2011/2012 academic year when the Four year system reached its full cycle� It gained a boarding status in January, 2007�.To be a co-educational institution that trains the mind, soul and body of students to be useful citizens.To develop and equip adolescent boys and girls with the requisite academic knowledge, skills and aptitudes that will enable them fit well into the society and contribute their quota to the development of Ghana and beyond
