Withrow College (WUC) is an NAB of Ghana accredited tertiary public health institution that is affiliated with the University for Development Studies (UDS) Tamale, Ghana. Our mission is to produce dedicated and compassionate professionals in public and allied health by educating students using national and international standards and techniques. Central to our academic programs are cutting edge hands-on experiential community service training programs. Our vision is: To become the center of excellence in training and educating international and national leaders in Public Health and Allied Health Sciences. Our motto is Live with Integrity, excellence, innovation and service. Withrow College was established with the support of family members and friends who believed in this unique project-that is the creation of a public and allied health science based tertiary institution in Ghana. The College is named after Drs. Frank and Margaret Withrow of Washington DC, USA, the adopted parents of the founder, and without their support and mentoring this institution may not have been a reality. Community engagement, development of leadership skills and practical training of students and graduates and the expectation of excellence are the components of the uniqueness of WUC. We believe community engagement empowers good citizenship and creates the enabling environment to help communities move up on the development scale. With regards to academic programs, WUC has three diverse and comprehensive faculties namely- Faculty of Public and Allied Health Sciences (FPAHS), Faculty of Development and Integrated General Studies (FDIGS) and Faculty of Mathematical Sciences (FMS).
