AB REVIEW SAYS Little known in other regions, Ola Senior High located at Kenyasi No 2 in the Asutifi District is gradually gaining popularity in the Brong Ahafo region for their high discipline and academic records. The school won first place in the Newmont Malaria quiz competition organized recently demonstrating how active it is in non-academic areas. Founded in 1974 by the Missionary Sisters of our lady of apostles, It is the first all female senior high school to be established in the Brong Ahafo Region. The school which has a student population of 1200 has a strong PTA support which has greatly improved the school’s facilities. OLA, Kenyasi’s academic performance in the region is comparable with the top in the region. AB review considers this school as one with a lot of potential if it continues in the same direction. We say Kudos to the school administration and staff for their dedication to work. STUDENTS SAY “…” Students highly commend teachers for their commitment and dedication to work. One student puts in this way: we are trained at OLA, Kenyasi to be responsible ladies with a high discipline standard. Participation in clubs and societies is encouraging but students generally feel that more can be done to make the social atmosphere on campus exhilarating. There were calls for a proper administration block to give the school a proper face to the school. Sports however should be encouraged more.
