The school was formerly known as Aboabo Community Secondary School and later became Salvation Army Senior High School as The Salvation Army Church offered to assist and adopt the school in 1998 The school was established in 1988 at Aboabo by the four (4) Communities, Aboabo No1,2,3 and 4 led by Nana Aduanahene The first Acting Headmaster was called Mr. M. PKumiThe school was managed by both the Management Committee chaired by MrAmponsah Nyame and the PTAalso chaired by MrAndrews Aning until the school was adopted by the Government of the Ghana in 2006 To help develop the school to the highest level.
